They were placed, bottom up, on a piece of steam-a-seam. Once I was satisfied with the arrangement, I ironed them down permanently. The bottom portions are loose. I plan to layer and then quilt it (not sure yet how to handle the feathers) and hang it in my sewing room!

Love the collar!! My mom crocheted a “RBG” collar for me - long before RBG was on the court. I still have it… somewhere!!
