Assuming, and I'd suspect it would be valid, that the original film was shot on 35mm filmstock, reduction printing to 16mm was practiced from mid 1920s, if this article is correct

This is fantastic. I hope many more are found. Old film row buildings and historic theaters need to be searched, too. I'm sure there are many stashed in forgotten attics.
