Whatever is announced today, remember those with mental illness and disabilities are not scroungers or skivers. Your struggles are valid, and you are worth more than our government will let on.

Maybe if they stop telling people they're invalid and that their 'duty to the state' is all they're valued for then people will contribute more. The language used is disgusting.
I was initially self employed and that worked well for me as I liked the flexibility. Rishi took that off me during the pandemic. I had no job security. They want us to work to death etc. The social contract has been broken. And now they blame the people they let down
I worked through the pandemic keeping the country going (transport) got clapped for and a thank you letter from the transport minister. Later got turned down for the job, they hired external staff instead. I had a breakdown ended up ill, (disabilities) and was denied support, left waiting etc
I'm so sorry to hear that's your experience. Try not to give up hope. We're all fighting for more rights and greater understanding of these problems. I hope things look up for you, and one day, we can abolish the stigma that cripples us
I'm doing better now, I'm good. Studying a degree and got some support and ADHD medication after 2 years of neglect and a huge breakdown. I think I'll do community and charity work after my degree. They lost me as a cog in their control because they didn't respect me
