High winds at night freak me out. Ironically to calm myself I have a box fan. If the winds are really bad or breezy, I need ear plugs.

Yeah part of me thinks maybe I should wear my headphones but at the same time I feel like I need to be able to hear it incase of any danger

That’s very true. Maybe the headphones can lower the sound enough so it’s more background noise instead of really bad and you can still hear things.

If u have a smart speaker, esp Google I know, you can ask it to play rain noises and that works really well as white noise for me
