Interested to know from those who score themselves - what do you count? Do you need to say the starter before a contestant does? And do you give yourself points for a follow up when the discussion gives you clues? #UniversityChallenge

I give myself points for starters when I say the answer outloud first. I score bonuses on the same basis. I try not to listen to the contestants, but can't allways help it. I only give points if I knew the answer. Whichever method you use to score, it's just for fun 🙂

Yes I score myself if I say an answer before a contestant does. I count all the starters and bonuses I get though technically I suppose I shouldn't count bonuses if I don't get the relevant starter first

Oh,that was a wrinkle I hadn’t even thought of.

I got 11 bonuses tonight, but only two starters, and probably not for the right bonuses!
