consciously read one way, but would also induce a "gut feeling" to see it in another, and if so, could we use an MRI or some other diagnostic tool to try and see that "gut feeling" being communicated to the conscious mind?

On a serious note, this would not surprise me one bit- maybe two years ago I gave up pop with sugar completely, was going ok then I had some hash browns from a convenience store. I woke up the next day with POWERFUL cravings for more. I could NOT stop thinking about them...

It took me a bit to realize they probably add frigging sugar to the outside so they brown at a lower temp. I couldn't taste the sugar, but holy crap did my gut microbiome want M O R E!

Weird thing I heard once was some people have the inner monologue but do not recognize the voice as being theirs, so they feel like there's this other voice in their head telling them to do things etc, and I think our two peoples should unite against those folk

I've heard that some people do/do not have inner monologues, but I've never really contemplated it. I'm finding it hard to conceptualize, do you find it hard to imagine having one?

Not so much narration but if I did a sloppy cartwheel, which I personally wouldn't do since I'm awesome (but mostly because I can't do a cartwheel) I'd probably say to myself, "I can't believe I just did that."
