A mass sell-off would be counterproductive for Japan: 1) It would likely trigger a significant devaluation of their remaining US bond holdings. 2) It could cause unwanted appreciation of the yen, hurting Japanese exports. Japan has multiple monetary policy tools beyond selling US Treasuries.
Maailmas on ridamisi riike, mis on väga palju võlgu. USA ja Jaapan on suuruselt maailma esimene ja kolmas majandus, kui nemad satuvad võlakriisi, ei suuda miski neid päästa, aga see toob kaasa lumepallina veereva usalduskriisi, kus surve alla satuvad ka kõik teised suured laenuriigid, sh Euroopas.
