Yep! The design changes specifically come from the "Myths" being built in 1905 onward, and the Legends in the 1930s. The Myths were co-designed by David Jones of the Highland as one of his last rail contributions, and Legend Loco Works CME Don Rogers. The Legends were wholly Rogers' design. 1/2
The design changes that came with the Legend, apart from stylistic, were to refine the earlier design with a freer steaming boiler, ease of maintenance and smaller improvements, as the Myths had severe issues with "breathlessness" at speeds above 25mph, falling short of their intended targets. 2/2
