Congrats Ally! I can also relate as well as I personally also have more followers here on Bluesky than what I had on Twitter during those 7 years I had one during 2017-2024
Same here. I suspect it’s because Elon put in place algorithms that removed followers of politically left people, and showed less of their content to people than that of right-wing posts.
I’m getting close to having more followers here than anywhere. And while I enjoy art, science, and political discourse, my main reason for being on social media these days is this:
Amazing. I'm a nobody, with an occasional quick wit, but in 2 weeks have 400 followers and likes from Stephen King, Mark Cuban, Stephanie Miller and Dean Obeidallah. Have never had a social media account in my life.
