This is laughable considering the video has gotten 301,600+ impressions on its own in the past seven days, resulting in 12,500+ views. (The video itself is sitting around 21,000 views at the time of writing)

Assuming the numbers continue in their current state (when in reality they typically get worse over time) purchasing an additional 2,900 impressions would yield me a return of ~120 views total. This is abysmal, as the video got 78 views in the past hour alone on a Saturday morning.

So how much ad revenue would I get as a return? Well, every video has its own "CPM Value" which is calculated by a myriad of things both in and outside of my control. This particular video has a rather nice one of $6.69/thousand views. It's important to note that this money is SHARED with YouTube.

If you're desperate for exposure, there is no paid shortcut. It's a knife that cuts both ways. You need to make something people wanna click.

YouTube gave this video over 300,000 impressions FOR FREE because the video was making them money. They're just trying to milk desperate creators out of even more money for a shortcut to success. It's sad, and you should not take the bait.

The video would say it's an ad, by the way. This wouldn't even leave an impression of organic growth. The only real effect here would be a few comments on your video asking why it was an advertisement. This doesn't work.

The algorithm is built to push videos to people who might be interested in watching them. Paying for an ad just pushes the video to people outside of the niche who wouldn’t want to watch it anyways. It probably does way more harm for a channel than good.
