This is so hard on the first responders when it is one of their own medical staff. 2 doctors plus two pilots and the patient. Plus all the people on the ground. Devastating
This type of accident happens far two frequently. The fact that it happened the same week as a major airliner crash is completely irrelevant and unrelated.
I suspect it was pilot error or mechanical failure. Plane was only in the air for 40 seconds. But there is nothing irrelevant about this crash.

Latest update is two pilots, to crew members, a minor who was the patient and their Guardian period and they were all Mexican Nationals who were being flown back home eventually. They may have been here for treatment that's per the representative from the air ambulance service
This is so tragic. I once was on a jet ambulance with my baby trying to get him to an advanced ICU and know that what went down was all hope for the healing and now more shattered lives. 💔😢
Yes, I finally got to talk to my daughter, she stayed home and knew nothing about this. Now I can breathe. I have an old friend who lives on the block the plane crashed and waiting for word on her and my second daughter lives a few blocks away and hoping she wasn't at the mall.
Plus ..folks on the ground ....NE Philly , that area , which I am well familiar with ....is a very residential , area ...row homes , and lots of traffic .

Just heard "pediatric patient". Trump has really made America safer -- at least 72 people dead within 2 days. Trump has killed multiple children at this point.
Breathtaking tragedy. Stunning losses. My old neck of the woods is that wider area where the crash occurred. My deepest sympathies go out to those people in their time of grief as these losses are processed.

The plane came down like a missile…something had to have gone terribly wrong on board. I’m a RN who has worked with these flight nurses and doctors, and they are rockstars of professional experience. There is O2 on board though…highly explosive

Reports the jet crashed into rowhomes and cars on the street. Homes are on fire. There's likely casualties on the ground also. Videos of the crash show a huge fireball on impact. Probably took off from a nearby small airport with full tanks. Jet came down at a rapid pace.
My son in law volunteers for the same foundation, Angel Flights, with his plane. He was supposed to pick up a young patient in FL to CHOP today, but it was delayed because of the weather.

Gotta ask where you’re getting this fatalities info. I’m in Philly market. Mayor Parker just had briefing & nothing was said confirming fatalities. It would appear from videos they’re showing that there weren’t survivors bc jet seemed to explode mid-air. But no official confirmation here.
There were also multiple people on the ground (in cars, at the bus stop) who were also killed & injured, though the media hasn't mentioned much about them yet.
The officials are reporting as much as they know. They're going to have to sift through all the rubble and a half mile debris field in order to know who on the ground may have been killed. It's barely been 15 hours. Give them time.
