16 million Democrats didn't vote? It makes no sense. Democratic voters know the threat tRump is to democracy. Harris/Walz rallies were packed with supporters. They raised more money than ever before. But historically blue districts in swing states had less votes than before? I don't believe it!
Dear KG, why aren't you using your influence to ask the dems why they aren't willing to admit defeat and facilitate more political parties? If a 3rd party, like NoLabels, was in the last election, trump would not have won. It would be for the good of the country but it may already be too late.
Americans need to touch the hot stove...over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over.
It's all that works on them.
Democrats have no obligation to narrate the story.
It's almost like they're lazily waiting for the public to figure it out for themselves, instead of using the daily examples to show they were right to begin with.
I am glad Iβve been an independent for 50 yrs! Donβt ever see myself voting republican for anything, but these democrats π€¬ who knows, the way drumpf is going, we may never get to vote again π₯²
I considered myself an independent for years, too, though I pretty much never voted for Republicans. It was actually the 2020 primaries that got me to register Dem.
Respectfully, how can you be serious w β45 is waking up the giant; the American peopleβ? The American electorate CHOSE this. The American electorate opted to commit collective suicide. The American people are ignorant, naive, coddled, comfortable, comatose. Not all of course but a sizable majority.
Propaganda, lies, gaslighting aided and abetted by Fox news, religious organizations, political representation, family, and friends all contributed to 45's ascension. We have a clueless and uneducated population... That's a problem. 19M pitched a protest no vote about the price of eggs and Gaza...
The propaganda, gaslighting & friends arenβt going away. All those factors are fixed, theyβll lie right thru the fallout.
Not saying youβre wrong, I hope youβre not. I just personally canβt wrap my head around ppl suddenly taking him seriously if they didnβt already, including protest voters.
I mean he did a coup. Heβs a rapist, he stole classified documents, the entire gop campaigned on military strikes against Mexico, women are dying in parking lots from preg complications, scotus gave him total immunity, he proposed a TOTAL ban on all agricultural imports & tariffs up to 200% on
all other imports. He said he would pardon all j6 criminals, he said maybe he would nuke Europe and pull out of nato, he hates & disparages US allies & loves our adversaries-and is a puppet of one of them, he mocked a disabled reporter & told us he would be a dictator & destroy the country.
Dems tried hard during the campaign to warn people about the imminent threat to democracy that Trump, Elon and JD posed. But in spite of the election being very close, this message didn't get through to enough people, or they didn't believe it because it sounded too farfetched.π§΅
Same with warning about the dangers of Project 2025. It was pretty scary stuff, but then Trump (who lies constantly) claimed it wasn't his idea and distanced himself from it. And because it, too, seemed too farfetched to be real, many people believed him.π§΅
So, from what I can tell, Dems decided that the threat to democracy wasn't a winning message and threw it overboard to focus on the price of eggs, which everyone knows is a result of the bird flu, and criticizing Trump for not bringing down prices yet.π§΅
Meanwhile now we have daily examples of very real threats to democracy. The firing of the IGs, eliminating departments created by congress, obvious corruption in the DOJ, refusal to follow court rulings, letting Elon's boy minions have all our data, and today declaring himself a king.π§΅
Now the warnings about the threats to democracy ring true because we see it happening in real time. We need to call out every one of these examples and show how our democracy is in danger, because the people who didn't believe it then can see it now. It's happening right in front of our eyes.π§΅
Same with Project 2025. He said it wasn't his, yet these shocking, anti-democracy moves are straight out of the Project 2025 playbook, and we need to keep pointing that out, every single time. Show the examples and say, "This is Project 2025. We told you this would happen and NOW IT'S HAPPENING."π§΅
Agree & simple
Do you, US Vet want hlthcare
Do you, farmer want to keep your farm
Do you, pregnant female want safe formula
Do you, homeowner bldr, real estate agent want to deduct your mortgage interest
Do you, racist know Elon is from Africa
Do you, grandma want to keep your ss & mcare
The problem with messaging is they have two people incapable of communicating with average Americans (Jeffries and Shummer) and wait to see what is βpollingβ. Old people poll not the younger voters and by the time the poll comes through the issue has past. They are reactionary not offensive.
Yes, I agree. But I still think the messaging is wrong. People didn't get it before, but now it's happening. Now we can see it. It's the exact wrong time to throw it out and try something different.
I agree. As I said they wait for polls and are reactionary. Itβs exactly the time to flip the script. If they donβt do it now itβs another day they have the drop. Pete would be great but even his messaging is off from what he had during the election. Tim shows promise. Theyβve muzzled AOC and Jazz.
Our messaging has been failing for a long time. Weβve lost touch with younger generations, and we also tried to take the high road instead of throwing a proverbial throat punch when Trump was in office the first time. We are going to have to fight like hell to survive this administration.
I was ecstatic when Biden dropped out. And Kamala was endorsed by him, which energized the party. It was surreal until you realized that this bigoted country was not going to elect a woman of color.
Itβs like weβre doomed to only have mostly white men who can be elected. How do we break that?
Honestly, the only ways are either revamping the voting system to reduce disenfranchisement or swiftly rid ourselves of all of the racists, which we failed to do during Reconstruction
Yes, they should be screaming it from the mountains every day! Take a page out of the Republican playbook. The memo goes out and they have the same message coming from everyone in their party - word for word.
They need to be attacking the vulnerable. Name Names. Take on the members of Congress who are enabling them. They can be turned. Trump and Musk cannot.

Totally agree.
A lot of Democratic politicians still believe that they can "nice" their way through a Fascist coup.
They are playing a very dangerous game.

The ones that have been there forever, need to get with the program or get out of the way.
Same thing with anyone who is listening to the Axelrods, et. al. of the world (looking at you, Speaker Jefferies.)
Learn from AOC, Garcia, Crockett, and the like.
