Lawrence O'Donnell on MSNBC, last night & the night before, did a segment on this. Apparently, she can't just fire the Mayor. There is a legal process, including appeals all the way to the Supreme Court, & you know how that will go. It could take years, & the Mayor is up for reelection. So, vote NYC

Not sure Dems are just one thing, to be honest. The Democratic Party comprises voters holding various positions from Republican-friendly, establishment-friendly conservative "neoliberals" to liberal, progressive, left voters who oppose conservatism, "neoliberalism," Republicanism.

Dems are much less unified than the fascist conservative, Republican Party. But one thing is clear: there is a faction within the Democratic Party that expresses liberal, progressive, left values and voices. One won't find that in the stridently right wing, conservative Republican Party.

Of course, Dems from red states will tend toward the conservative, Republican, establishment-friendly end of the spectrum, responding to and reflecting local culture. Dems from blue states will tend toward the liberal, progressive, democratic left end of the spectrum for the same reason.
