We don't just not invest in education, we don't invest in childhood nutrition, healthcare, and support poor parents so that kids can have stable childhoods with parents that can pay attention.
Spot on brother, spot on. It’s almost like a thousand or so folks have stolen everything from us. They stole from kids, veterans, seniors. The American Dream got chopshopped for a new Gulfstream every year. Now they want to steal what’s left and act like everyone else is undeserving of the crumbs.
You are bang on David !! The truth is with today’s resources ,kids should be able to get a good education, follow their interests , learn whatever they are interested in . The problem is poverty and everything that does to a family , a child, a human being .
Check out my video where I discuss the problems with the American education system and contrast it with education systems from other parts of the world. https://youtu.be/Wcch1xV0_oo
Having lived overseas for many years, I was shocked to see what school lunches were like when my kid started school in the states. Part of his education at home was to learn how to differentiate garbage vs real food.
I once got an e-mail from my kid's school with "tips" to help me celebrate "child nutrition month." I wrote back that they had real nerve to send me that on a day when they served him Hot Fudge Sundae flavored Pop-Tarts for breakfast.
