But I would like to remind folks that the absence of actual journalism in mainstream/non worker-owned spaces means that we see the demoralizing story about what the bastards demand but we rarely get to see whether or not they actually get it

This low-info environment allows the bastards to control the narrative +makes it hard to understand what's really going on, which breeds passivity, paranoia and mistrust. But it's worth taking seriously that dictators demand lots of shit they dont get, and we don't know how widespread resistance is

this is pure anecdote but my brother's in a d&d group with DoD contractors who rip cigarettes and bitch endlessly about the "Trump madness." They keep emphasizing the massive inefficiencies and stupidity of ctrl+f deleting whole swathes of their work because it has "transition" in it
