Fear, anger, and boredom are the tools to suppress individuals from independent actions. Large groupings suppress individual thought and expression.
Free yourself from sustaining emotional reactions. act in the moment spontaneously . Retreat into nature.

But we are not simply stuck in this subjectivity forever. That is solipsism, no? Aren't there paths towards intersubjective agreement? I believe that is how knowledge grows from being fragile and isolated to broad and robust.
You will exist in subjectivity every moment you're alive. When you rid yourself of it, you will be dead.
Two people within subjectivity can still have overlapping views. But 2 people with overlapping views doesn't make something objective. It just makes 2 people in subjective agreement.
This essay isn't about science though. It's about conformity and consensus. Specifically how the excessive pressure to make people go against their own experiences creates civil war.
Sorry to barge in btw. I’m writing a paper about this now and reacted strongly when I saw your skeet so I wanted to see if we could reach an understanding. Hope that’s not an act of war! : )
No pressure from me about this. We have to express our different viewpoints to get at all the different facets of this shared reality. The more people and the more diversity they richer our understanding. As long as we are using the same epistemic good faith, no civil war erupts.
Essentially, empathy makes us capable of learning from other people's unique experiences.
It's perfectly true that a person can have an intelligent analysis of the information from their own worldview. But they'll be limited by their own experiences.
I absolutely agree with you that objectivity is never reached. But one theory of existence is there is a “hypothetical realism” that we all share that allows our subjective experiences to come toward intersubjective agreement (ie consensus). That’s perhaps why science works, for example.

First & foremost because a recognition of others' subjectivity allows you to learn from them.
While the ideological view that your view is the only one that matters closes you off to others.
It's perfectly true that a person can have an intelligent analysis of the information from their own worldview. But they'll be limited by their own experiences.
I would just admonish that this consensus is very limited to an elite group. And science hasn't resolved subjectivity at large.
Hence our current backlash against science.
It's still prone to close mindedness. It's still prone to "false consensus" or posturing.
& it's sometimes corrupted from other things (for example money, ego, power).
Why? Because we're all still human.
And for me - it's better to try to work WITH subjectivity...
Rather than work AGAINST it. (Which science tries to do).
