Yeah it’d be shooting myself in the foot as getting to Cairns isn’t cheap nor quick but there has to be some sort of applicable conference in Sydney surely or even Brisbane..

No idea where it will be held as I'm no longer involved and don't attend but this year's was in Sydney so it's probably Melbourne.
