Also, I thought I was up on my British slang, but I'd never heard curate's egg before & had to look it up.
Looking forward to the point where I can drop that with my friends in the UK to look unexpectedly hip :)
Fair. I'd liked the first 3+1 books and thought things declined from there.
The Books of the South were OK, and then there was a LONG publishing gap between them and the last 3.
There was also a final book he'd tried to retcon to earlier in the company's career that just didn't quite work for me.
I pretty much agree and I'm spared the final one, due to it not being available on audio in the UK but is available in the US.
Normally that would bug me but not on this occasion.
I'll keep that in mind for when I've exhausted all the other series I have in my tbr pile.
At least it's just a trilogy, thankfully.
It's kind of soul destroying to be interested in a book only to find it's part 1 of 14.
Yeah, maintaining the TBR has been a real challenge since finding these feeds.
I have serious commitment issues to anything bigger than a trilogy, unless it's a bunch of stand alone books in the same universe, like Discworld.
