I got a sudden text yesterday letting me know I have an outstanding dental bill from last October for $1,700. At the time they said it would be fully covered by my insurance, but it turns out I had already hit my annual max payout & they never informed me about it. Yeah, the price seems pretty insane to me, too. I had to switch dental insurance last summer, which was the time that a couple of problem teeth needed to be dealt with, and this dental office was one that my insurance covered. But after 8 months of paying so much I need find someplace different. :/

Holy smokes, this stinks :( It's a multi-level problem and you might still get screwed in the end, that's insane. (My mom is a dentist and charges a literal fraction of the price - her British/American patients say it's still cheaper to travel all the way to her to get their teeth done, dang!)

I hate when they lecture me about taking better care of my teeth and I have to tell them, again and again, that I brush every morning and night, floss every night, see the dentist every 6 months and get the treatment suggested.

So, like, what else can I do?!
