Are serranos spicy? What is your tolerance level for spicy foods?

They’re spicier than jalapeños, but nothing crazy. I love spicy food, and my tolerance is definitely high by Wisconsin standards, but I don’t know what that would mean in an area where the standard is less aggressively bland and beige

Ooh! Hey! I’ll add serrano peppers next time I make a charcuterie spread that you’ll be eating from!

No worries! I can handle jalapeños, but not well. So, I have an idea without actually laying out a range of peppers and having you try them. :P

I would put serranos one step up on the spice level from jalapeños. Not crazy spicy but definitely spicier than jalapeño. I actually like them better.

I’ll use them instead of jalapeños next time I make enchiladas! I’d love to see the difference it would make!
