My final thought is that as always the best thing to come out #TTRPGs for me is the people. Almost all my closest freinds were met because of gaming, and I continue to meet and do creative stuff with many wonderful people because of the hobby. Here is to another year of that!

What does this mean going forward? Not sure, really. I'm happy with more RPG time (conscious decision to spend less time single player PC gaming and more time RPGing, and I am enjoying that). I'm happy with playing more different games. So I guess more of the same going forward.

How does this compare across the years? A steady increase in RPG time in general, more conventions and streaming, but a shift in the last year from playing to GMing as a majority.

The one I was disappointed with was Cyberpunk Red/ Some of the rules changes from what I remember of 2020 were welcome, but the character creation options and general setting tone just seems to have thrown the cyberbaby out with the corpo-poisoned bathwater. But that's just my tastes not defintive.

The standouts from the 'new' list are:

- Mothership 1e, which just rocks short form sci fi horror. Plus the GM advice in the Warden's Guide is really good no matter your experience.

- The Between, which delivered a really interesting story and some brilliant interpersonal scenes and drama.

It was a one shot year compared to the last two. It was also a great year for trying new things. I tend to be a creature of gaming habit; even though I buy, read, and talk about new stuff a lot I tend to go back to "comfort foods" of gaming. Thus year I made a marked effort to try more games.

The next closest with 22 hours with the Unconventional GMs (find them (and occasionally me with them) on YouTube). My other "weekly" group only played 6 times for RPGs for various reasons mostly related to emotional energy (and its perfectly valid not to play when not everyone is feeling it).

The plan for my wednseday group is to start up RPing again next week, which I am super excited about. So that'll be me back to GMing two campaign s as we restart Cortex Glorantha. Thankfully as we are old friends, we still met for boardgames most weeks, which is always wonderful.

Although on my stats the UGMs are third, second place was the collected games at ConTingency 24, which doesn't really count as a group, but its how my spreadsheet works.

Just under half my hours (109.75) were all with the same group, who played 41 times - not quite every week but a good enough hit rate that I feel we can call ourselves weekly still. That was mostly the main Shadowrun campaign which is 51 sessions in as of this week, but also some fun one-shots.
