There were suspects and such but they are as "paid for a hit" people as you get if I remember correctly they were Chechens which already stirred a burning pot especially after two Chechen wars Russia started back in 1990-2000
I've walked across that bridge many times, stopped by that memorial and noticed a couple of bruisers hanging around allegedly admiring the scenery. It speaks volumes about Putin that having killed two of his bravest critics he still fears their power - even when exercised from beyond the grave.
I wouldn't be surprised if we start to see this kind of thing start here. These cultists have been emboldened by Trumps attempts to squash free speech & civil rights.
