The only reason Trump made a statement at all was to get some if that sweet sweet camera time. Just like during COVID, he couldn’t stay away and HAD to take over the briefings while massaging the message to push his personal messages rather than stare the data clearly and concisely.

There are 2 worthwhile audio recordings on YouTube - this one has police communications from when they were informed the Dali lost power to the bridge collapse - how police managed to stop traffic in time & were about to get workers off the bridge but ran out of time.
