He’s also pitched into the 9th inning once as a Major Leaguer & has had exactly 2 good full seasons, both of which resulted in a Cy Young. I’ll pass

I have mixed feelings about this. He would have worked well in the time frame that you suggested AND he's had a very sketchy health history. But I feel like the Dodgers are just signing just to block other teams from becoming more competitive.

Mets should sign Soto, Burnes, and Mannea. After that I am open to anything. Resign Alonso, or go for Walker instead. or slide Vientos to first. Trades. I am sure Stearns will get creative.

Signing >1 FA who declined another team’s QO carries severe draft and intl signing pool penalties. Inconsistent with the plan to build a core of homegrown talent. I say Soto (and Pete) and some more smart Manaea/Severino types of signings.
