This makes the AfD a major force in German politics and the international far-right scene. It was the strongest result for a far-right party in Germany since WW2 and the fall of the Nazi regime.
The AfD is a far-right, anti-Muslim party that routinely denies climate change and has called for “remigration” - a coded term for the mass deportation of non-white people.
AfD politicians have links to right wing extremists and have spoken at a conference for the fascist Homeland Party and the Traditional Britain Group in the UK. They are championed by some of the worst people: Trump, Musk, and Victor Orban.
It’s time for maximum effort to combat the far-right rise, at every levels of government and public. Things need to be reversed before the past mistakes are repeated again.
