In "Tales from Out There," Frozen Ed says the idea is CW daylight, CW night, CCW daylight, CCW night, so the first 4 loops are all different.

It's each time, although the positive split between the first and second loop suggests that the "forward" path is maybe not going to be able to make up enough ground
