If we turn over teaching to AI, then what is the point of teaching at all?

A big misapprehension about what 'personalised' really means in tertiary (or any level) teaching - usually means listening, thinking broadly about the non-uni factors affecting engagement, understanding cultural difference, getting excited about ideas students bring with them, etc etc

Mind you, state of education in the US. Back in the day, colleagues there were in awe of the history and geography we Brits knew/know and admitted their education was at fault. Doubt it's changed much.

For clarity, using chatbots for administrative tasks is just as likely to add on time disentangling what went wrong, what didn’t work, why it didn’t work. This is James Bridle’s fallacy of “automation bias” in action.

Still - this is all just desperate PR flack after deepeesk blew their whole business model out of the water. They’re releasing manic press release bullshit every six hours right now. Yesterday was they were teaming with the us military, tomorrow is presumably curing cancer with hallucinations.
