Except their pricing model has successfully been replicated by every other major airline. They managed to poison the entire industry with this nonsense.
As a plus size woman I love their plus size seating options. Their carry on rules are ridiculous though, and having to pay for every single item. The professionalism of the service staff could use some help too. 1 great CSR and the rest are B team usually.
The first and only time I flew Spirit, they were too cheap to refuel at the pickup airport, we had to make an emergency landing 45 mins away from the destination becuz we were running out of gas mid-flight 🤨
I’m glad they didn’t run out of gas on ur flights with them🤣. I’m sure it didn’t happen often with them but it was enough for me to never fly them again.
I don’t think people understand how much Spirit Airlines and their low prices actually helps regulate lower costs across all airlines. Hoping they get this situated.
Yeah we need the college students and the lower income folks who need deals to consistently buy over there because they the only reason Delta can’t charge you $800 round trip everywhere
Why are people hating on spirit so much? They’re the reason I could travel as much as I did on a looow budget. I never had a bad experience with them either, I knew what I was paying for.
Next one up should be @frontierairlines.bsky.social which charges for carry-on luggage and even to check in at the airport with an agent. You have to download their bootleg, non-user friendly app to check in…they nickel and dime everything!
They are bankrupt because Frontier canceled its merger with Spirit. And that is after JetBlue outbid them then got blocked by the DOJ. These airlines don't know how to function on their own and it shows.
In my early 20’s I loved me a $100 round trip on Spirit. But they will never see a dime from me 🤣🤣🤣 at 25 is when I had to wrap that up. But I’m sure they ain’t going anywhere after this. Just have to pay to breathe now 🫠
But you could fly Spirit roundtrip about 2-3 times for the price of a TYPICAL United ticket, especially for trips to Central American and Carribean countries. 😭
Well that sucks. Yes they suck but if you planned it out you could get your family from A to B for cheap. The other airlines aren’t exactly giving you a luxury experience either but they charge far more.
Just to capture the market they can’t sell tickets for 1/4th the price. This not only bankrupts their business but also encourages other airlines to increase the price
The way the checked bags costs more than the flights, they shouldn’t be bankrupt. The staff be mad af, and underpaid. They over there robbing folks, and should be investigated 🤷🏾♀️

as sketchy as they are during winter, those little planes still trudge along and get where they need to go for a reasonable price.
🥲
yeah.... that checks out actually...
I've had easy experiences with the.
maybe my statement was filled with slightly too much optimism 😂
I'm honestly turned off flying for a while overall.. I'll still to land. 😂
Delta had a literal piece of shit wrapped up in their blankets before..
Tbh. all airlines are nasty because it's about money grabbing and nothing else..
At least everyone knew what they were getting when going to spirit.
I’d rather pay more for an experienced pilot and newer plane.
Price gouging for United is predatory as all hell
