Always loved her. However the news this morning said “cause of death unknown”. These are stupid, unnecessary words, when people get old, they die. Why does death need to have a cause, other than the obvious. Humans baffle me. I sang her songs and loved them, no reason then to obvious!
She left an incredible amount of memories and melodies that grew legs and gave birth to new testaments of her skill of the art. I never knew Luther recorded If Only for One Night after Roberta recorded it.
Once upon a time I had the great honour to be part of a choir backing Ms. Flack during a performance in Ottawa! One of the great highlights of my life. Sing choir of Angels! 🙏🕊️
Nooooooo, she was our diva! Rest in power Ms.Flack. You gave us a voice to not take a man's disrespect. We sang to your songs when we were young and free. Love you forever. 🥰😍🥰😍
In the early 1970s, composer Charles Fox and lyricist Norman Gimbel wrote “Killing Me Softly” in collaboration with Lieberman. The young musician had met Fox and Gimbel in 1971. By then, Fox and Gimbel were veterans in the music industry.
