But letting an entire nation suffer through inaction because of the folly of less than 1/3 of them is extremely unnecessary and massively shortsighted.

It's more than 1/3. I believe you have to count all the non-voters too. Too many people don't care what happens until it directly affects them. It seems like the only solution is letting it directly affect them. I know that sucks for the rest of us, but they haven't listened for the past 10 years
I totally empathize with what you guys are saying, don’t get me wrong. I’m exhausted by it and can’t believe it keeps going. I hate living in it (though glad I have some purple and blue areas around me). But man it’s so dangerous now to give up or let FAFO take over the nation.
What's your point? That "someone should do something" as long as the someone isn't you or yours? The only way, the ONLY WAY, this stops is if comfortable, normie white folks stop it. National strike, protests, etc. So get your friends & family & get uncomfortable
Agree! And educating them like Bernie is doing is a great start. But when leadership is literally on TV saying “We can’t do anything” and then spending their time selling books that’s worse than nothing.
It’s an illustrated book about Democracy, and on his tour he is giving speeches on how to fight for it. How is this any different than Bernie doing his? Both are speaking to the people, and riling up them up. The demonstrations are up to us. Specifically white and white adjacent people.
Do you understand that we don't have a choice now. We can't stop what's already been put in motion by them. We are going to suffer. We need to make sure that THEY understand that the suffering THEY'RE enduring is because of THEIR choices.
There’s always a choice. In terms of legislative, you’re right that they don’t have numbers. But they have voices. And leadership’s voices say “We can’t do anything” and stop there, while Sander, AOC, Crockett, Pritzker, Mills are acting.
Bernie Sanders is asking for donations & going on a book tour. You seem smart & it's past time you face facts. We've all had to admit hard truths about ppl we once admired, especially in the past 10 years. Let it go.
He’s not on a book tour, he has no book coming out. Even then, that’s one of the people I mentioned. Further, you say to admit hard truths of people from 10 years ago yet the people in charge for that time period are getting passes in this discussion. Time to admit they don’t work for this moment.

At least 10 years!!!
2/3 of white people signed off, no way around that.
People keep choosing nihilism because Democrats won't play 'Freebird' on demand.
I thought the downfall of Roe might change people. Then I thought January 6th would change people.
Some people just want to watch from a safe place and then yell at the firemen.
