I get what she's trying to do. It's not confusing. She's trying to gross them out by using their homophobia against them, which is some middleschool shit that still comes down to echoing homophobia. I don't think it's the right tactic, and it reminds me that 'allies' are fairweather.
I assume you aren't impacted by what you said, yes, absolutely. Not because you aren't queer, but because (assumption) you aren't a man dealing with homophobic men.
As I stated in another comment to that poster, it's echoing homophobic rhetoric and seeing it made my eyebrows raise. You can disagree, but I'm not attempting to twist anything.
As a man who deals with that kind of homophobia regularly, I still found it a very weird thing to say. Lots of other things you can attack them for without echoing their rhetoric.
