maybe they do, I also saw canon -might be on fic, but I'm lil confused- they has this natural healing capability too. so maybe they are robots but somehow work like living organisms...?

Like they chose the name robots because it was easier for humans to sort of grasp, but the way I sort of see it is that they are Silica based lifeforms. They do possess CNA which is the human equivalent of DNA. They have the capabilities of healing but parts can also be modular i.e starscream’s arm.

I mean yea I think so! Tho humans have a much more difficult time replacing things like whole limbs while Cybertronians can replace them.

And their bodies are compatible with human tech seeing with the episode when MECH took Breakdown and used his eye as a camera which if you think of the human equalvilent is TERRIFYING. Like imagine being enlisted into an alien planet where the life is primitive but can use YOUR BODY WITH THEIR TECH
