I think in some cases that’s true. However, the indictments by Smith would definitely never had been brought if he were never POTUS, because he wouldn’t have been in the position to conspire to defraud the public to remain in office.

you seem like a nice person, so truthfully and candidly, my perspective is this; I look at the entire process as illegitimate. And here’s why. Trish James used it as a campaign pitch in her bid for AG. I also know how a prosecutor and detective can secure an indictment with virtually zero evidence.
An indicted person is not allowed to present any evidence at their indictment that would disprove the charges.
And I don’t trust New York Juries. I believe they would be grossly biased and believe the prosecution and DA used that bias to their prosecutorial advantage.
To sum it up; I don’t trust the process and view it as illegitimate. So I don’t think he was guilty, I think the system set out to destroy him and Trump came out on top.
