Oh god Trump’s doj is gonna be there for the end of the marijuana rescheduling process, and a bunch of idiot young voters are gonna give him credit for it aren’t they

You're half-joking, but there really are millions of people who will assume the credit for anything good that happens between now and 1/20 belongs to 45/47.
Do Dems get a daily sheet with useful talking points for interviews? This, to drive home messages with a unified, overarching theme at EVERY interview? Yes, MAGA marches lockstep & trying to organize Dems is like herding cats, but it’s time to give up that tired old trope. Dems need a story to tell
Need an all-out media blitz NOW touting the Biden-Harris admin greatest hits. Don’t let anyone be ignorant of what has been accomplished and what will happen as a result during TFG2.0 years. This starts the midterms campaign, with a bright line in the sand.
Least and greatest at the same time, since how can you escape the horror of your reality if they plugged up your escape route? Then again, you can still drink and smoke yourself to death to escape reality as is American Tradition.
The Biden administration could have actually cared about that instead of finding a dozen illegal ways to let the top earners get out of paying off their student loans.
Like they did when Obama implemented federal sentencing changes. Then again, they blamed Obama for the phones that were actually Bush's. Oh, and blamed Clinton for NAFTA when it was actually Bush Senior & Republicans who negotiated that, and Free Trade for decades.
I mean yes, we all know by his first admin that he will take credit for absolutely everything including the creation of the Earth and Jesus Himself. BUT we still get to enjoy the efforts of THIS administration even while it's being stolen and rebranded. It won't be until much later that we all lose.
But this is where Democrats need to get a whole lot smarter about proactively flooding the zone with messaging that claims responsibility. Get ahead of it!
Biden may have governed well for the people, but he has been terrible at the politics and a failure as a leader of the Democratic Party. It is becoming ever more obvious that the high point of his political life was as Vice President rather than as President.
So, I've seen one project from that in-person because it had a big sign saying basically "Biden did this with [legislation]". Smart politics, just like Trump wanting to sign the COVID checks. But anyone know if these signs are still gonna be required to credit Biden/Dems after Trump is sworn in?
For real. Our neighborhood built in the 1890's with electrical lines from the 1920's or something ancient got updated a year ago. We have new power ine and new fiber optics. Our local GOP politicians have it on hold. Not hooked up yet! They play with our lives!
This is the top issue? This? Rescheduling should help research but impact on criminal justice? Been a couple of years, but last I looked there were a grand total of 12 people in Federal prison who had as ONE of their charges unlawful possession of weed.
Trump already took credit for Obama's economic management and Biden got the blame for the economic effects of covid, so likely yes, some idiot young voters will do so and think that Trump means marijuana. I've realised that a lot of young people really don't look at the facts.
I was literally in the East Room of the White House this week and Biden was televised touting his accomplishment in employments education, apprenticeships, & infrastructure. Secs Of Edu, DOL and Transportation had a panel right after talking about all of it
Create their own fucking channels of information, like the right wing did, instead of relying on the good graces of traditional media owners who all donate to fucking republicans. Like, just letting reporters in the room is not fucking trying at dude, idk how to explain this to you
I’m old enough to remember Air America and I am also old enough to know why so many newspapers that are over 100 years old are named “so and so Republican” or “something something Democrat”
It's more like Democrats are stymied with the current makeup of both Congress and SCOTUS. They can only do so much if they have the seats to help them pass good things.
They passed several good things when they had control of Congress but intentionally delayed them and didn't claim ownership of them. This is a systemic issue with Democratic (read: neolib/institutionalist) politics. I'll never suffer apologism of self-owns when the issues are of life and death.
The DNC/DCCC are responsible for getting Democrats elected. They fail. No accountability is taken. None. You apologize for their results which excuses their ratcheting effect toward more explicit and egregious fascist policy normalization. You, as 'centrist' Dems, promote self defeatism as good.
It balances out. Republicans run up huge debts,
the debts lead to inflation, most of which happens during their successors' terms, and they blame their successors.
And they cut taxes on the rich, so the Dems have to raise taxes on the middle class to make up for it, and they blame the Dems.
One of my conservative family members was on Facebook this week thanking Trump for the food dye ban that Gavin Newsom signed in October. So, yes, this is exactly what is going to happen.
Moving cannabis from schedule 1 to schedule 3 hardly does anything, so I’m not certain voters would notice except that Trump’s people will loudly trumpet it
Dispensaries would be allowed to take a business expense deduction, someone would be permitted to apply for FDA regulatory approval to market cannabis as a prescription drug, and in limited circumstances the federal criminal sentencing could be a bit lower https://crsreports.congress.gov/product/pdf/LSB/LSB11105
Yep. This is exactly right and well deserved for how absolutely shit the Biden admin has been at taking credit for incredible things they’ve done. He let down thousands of bureaucrats who actually got the real work done.
of course he will take credit for something he had nothing to do with. oooooooooof course his fans aren't going to fact check him or even try to understand the process. they'll blindly praise their cult leader and buy more merch with his likeness on it
eh idk every red state I’ve been to in the last 3 years has dispensaries already they just use some legal loophole — feels like this issue isn’t as salient as it used to be
I’m so disappointed with the Democrats. They have had long enough to reschedule and federally legalise cannabis but they thought they’d keep it on the back burner until they needed it.
Whoops.
maybe don't leave popular policy drowning in committee for years like a complete dipshit because you don't actually want to do it. same thing with drug costs. literally no reason not to ram it thru. lowering drug prices does not need a decade long adjustment period
Just to name a few of the things he’ll again steal credit for (kinda his MO) We need new media platforms filled with the actionable voices & narratives of why civics, decency and #JusticeMatters We’re all proud but furious American 🇺🇸 Patriots and we need #Unity now more than ever.
Right? P25 is really just a guideline, sort of a How To Be Hitler For Dummies. Since they are legit dummies, they'll fuck up their own gameplan trying super hard to fix the fix for the fix. Awful as they are, they can't help breaking their own toys.
No way that happens. The religious right will enjoy the most control they've had since Reagan. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if they roll back cannabis rights. Gotta fill those jails somehow
Just like Trump is going to get credit for all the projects in the pipeline so carefully shepherded by Buttigieg after Biden’s infrastructure bill (also chips and science act) Biden never touted his accomplishments enough, never touted them individually, never had ads featuring workers who got jobs

Most pointless of things to ever be hyped by Biden dead Enders.
No, no, a spoonful of oatmeal.
No, no, no, the smear of oatmeal sludge cemented on the spoon after breakfast.
Nah, that’s too much. Sorry.
I'll be happy if that dumb shit goes away, but can't imagine giving Donald Trump credit for it.
The media was talking about Pete Hegseth
the debts lead to inflation, most of which happens during their successors' terms, and they blame their successors.
And they cut taxes on the rich, so the Dems have to raise taxes on the middle class to make up for it, and they blame the Dems.
I can't see it happening because LIBS would enjoy this perk as well.
Pol Pot, too.

Whoops.
stop calling people idiots, idiot
