I think American media, despite starting to sell it, is mostly kinda underselling the level and widespread nature of the fury.

The rest of us (those that care to vote) are not sleeping well at night. We are appalled.
The notion of US exceptionalism is so rampant in their culture, they just assumed "of course Canadians wouldn't see an issue".

Americans seem to have this idea that they're all better than us because they're American. But the reality is in Canada we've been very happy NOT being American.
I don't buy them moving the goalposts again and saying "but if they cross THIS line we will finally actually do something"
Our system of government may function better than the US's, but people are people.
