You mean refusing to play the games so you can "do your own version" doesn't result in a great adaptation?

I'm convinced they at least read the wikipedia plot synopsis or something just so they could deliberately change things.
Anyway, it's not bad inherently because it's different from the game, the plot and characters are just terrible and nonsensical on their own too
