They say Paladin is the best choice for new players but there's still a lot of reading, inventory management, abilities and creativity involved into how you approach every scenario
Thatβs what I had read! It was recommended. When I play D&D I like to go in axe blazing so I thought it would fit. Maybe I should just go with barbarian - which is my dnd class
Ok good feedback. I got so turned off during those first few hrs and stopped playing. I have played D&D extensively which is one of the things that really frustrated me. I need to research the classes. Paladin was not doing it for me
I think Paladin can be tough, especially as it's not always clear which actions will break your oath etc.
I am biased because i tend to go stealth/range build on anything that will let me, but I do think in BG3 there are huge benefits to this! It's a great game tho so i hope you get the chance π€
I was a Drow Rogue with the Assassin subclass. She kicked ass.
When I played, they didn't have all the custom sliders and settings, so I wasn't able to multi-class, since you couldn't do that on easy, but maybe you can using a custom setting now?
Literally baldurs gate changed the way I think about how to play video games. You will be learning all throughout act 1 its incredible. And the sheer amount of choice!

I played as a shaoeshifting druid. Loved becoming a cat, owlbear and more and talking with animals in general :) miss her honestly

My main tip would be to take your time and explore.
I usually always go with ranger (gloomstalker or beastmaster)
The range & variety of arrows you can use is so helpful, especially against elementals or in more difficult fights.

No ones gives you a medal for playing games on harder difficulties.π
Trust me. It's the best game I've ever played.
