Good point. We did work in conjunction with the Chief of Police and the Mayor. It was truly peaceful.

And also: if it gets really crowded, you can have about 50 people packed into the space that would usually be taken up by a car (including the buffer space around it) … and those people weigh *way* more than the car. A crowd on a bridge can take the bridge beyond its design load.

thankfully no real police presence and the whole thing was organized by amazing local groups who wouldve steered it differently had the wind changed

That is good - call me overcautious but the lessons of 2020 were hard-learned is all, and I get a bit itchy seeing crowds of people who do not want to get into a fight with the police putting themselves into such a dangerous position is all.

Not only that, but bridges have been known to collapse for too many ppl on them.
