I'm in Asheville. We had the same issue. Neighbors were helping neighbors, restaurants were opening their pantries to feed the displaced, and Fox said we were killing each other and that FEMA and the military had abandoned us. They did not.

A couple years ago a mudslide took out a whole block in the next town over. Next morning, 50+ people and their shovels were there, also feeding them, walking their dogs, making sure everyone had dry socks.. Everything was back in order in a relative blink. ❤️ California
