Interesting. Seems incongruent. Ford will be making decisions that will affect the entire country. At minimum, the negotiation should be joint with the feds.
To be fair, Lutnick called him and asked for him to come to the table. But, I agree, he should have left the surcharge in place until he hears what they have to say.
They are the polite kid that surprises everyone when they quietly walk up to the bully and punch him so hard in the throat that he shits himself and nearly chokes to death.
Remember reading that about someone else once. They were convinced that appeasing someone would get "peace in their time". Didn't work out well for them. Same with anyone that tries appeasement to the current one down south
