If waiting for elective surgery, up to 2 years from referral for a hip or knee replacement, you will be glad to get treatment from wherever you can, even a private bed. Labour is not making a diabolical pact with the private sector, but is reducing the waiting list so that people can get treatment.

If you wait until it's tried there will be no going back. We will end up with a US style NHS. People forget that Simon Stevens, now Lord Stevens, was the CEO of a US healthcare company before he came back over here to change the NHS when he was in charge of it.
