Been thinking a lot right now - as I rely on 5 daily prayers for some semblance of sanity - about how, when I converted to Islam, it took me 2 years to call what I was doing “praying” and not “meditation” because American evangelical Christianity managed to ruin the whole idea of prayer for me.
