One of the saddest things I've ever had to do as a paediatric nurse was to tell parents their child is permanently brain damaged or going to die from measles. They ask if there's anything they could have done and I ask if they were vaccinated. Their faces says it all 😢

I had the measles shot 50 years ago. I had a booster ( recommended by my doctor ) about 5-6 years ago. Speak to your doctor but I think you may want to have the MMR booster ( measles, mumps, rubella)

Unfortunately, with the number of people on drugs that affect immunity, elderly folks and infants that are not yet eligible to receive certain vaccines - sick kids and previously vaccinated adults with minimal symptoms do spread the disease.
Parents need to trust their pediatricians.
