RFK is wrong but in a different way, Cod liver oil is a standard for people with high cholesterol and blood pressure, similarly Vitamin A is a standard part of treatment for babies with measles. Neither will do a damn thing in terms of preventing measles but for kids under 2 A is a life saver.

Cod liver oil was a remedy used until my grandparents generation to 'cure' every illness. The joy and relief of that older generation to the arrival of vaccines was overwhelmingly off the charts.
