Had their ejected pod not landed on a planet containing highly radioactive chemical elements, there would be no need for G.H.O.S.T’s intervention. As a "species", they would not thrive. Distant cousins had partnered distant cousins, but in the long term, the genetic soup sure didn’t have much stock.

Ghost, of G.H.O.S.T, is sent down to the planet to do a little recon. These people were established, but primitive. All knowledge of spacer tech had been burned in great fires, and those that knew space craft had now perished, with the children running around being the third or fourth generation.

Unfortunately, these MacTavishes did not take too kindly to a stranger kitted out in a full suit of G.H.O.S.T recon armour, a hazmat helmet, and a respirator.

The stones they threw did nothing, but Ghost’s patience was limited, and soon he called the rest of the crew for a… mandatory round-up.

These people needed medicine and, quite frankly, to stop procreating. One more generation and Ghost swore these kids would be running around with six fingers on each hand.
