Only the fibers that actually touch the sketch touch glue. I spread it as thin as possible, since all glues eat fibers over time. It is an inch thick so a super small amount of glue actually touches glue.

Mostly no. With the kitten I have had to Put archival tacky all over to start. The tacky does not last long though.
