call me insane (it is a little bit for such a short turnaround time) but all of the club forms are hand written by me! they each had a unique signature and, as is true for most of my process, i find it easier just to draw it than look for a font (2/5)

of course it isn't Bug Ego without some messy notebook pages! the first page here had messier writing than the second page so i also hand wrote that. it's worth the effort for a series that is clearly putting in the work on the author and artist's side! (3/5)

hand written notes? oh my!

i have a certain way of writing for Kokudo and Hitsujiya when i do all this. i write my Es, Gs, and Ns backwards for both of them to distinguish from my usual written sfx, overlap some lines, and some other little tricks. i think it makes a difference! (4/5)

and here's a glimpse at some of the signage i redrew. normally for a simulpub we would leave these alone or subtitle, BUT they are contextually important for the character here in conveying the feelings of this chapter, so most of the important stuff was redrawn!
