Fun fact, I had a blast at one of the whisky shops. Mostly because the steward spilled the tea on The Mile and all the shops. Made the visit more transparent and relatable.

I visited Edinburgh back in 2006. Hiked the Royal mile. Visited the castle, and participated in a tourist trap tour about the Great Plague.. it was campy fun and I enjoyed it.Highlight of my trip was visiting the chapel outside of Town. Lots of green men and I had just read the DaVinci Code

Oh I envy you. That place held an aura on me the entire time I was there. The history, the renovation the Templar history. It was fantastic. We don't have places like that here in the states. Tryon Palace is in New Bern NC about an hour away but that's mid 18th century.
