As a civilian, I just cannot see how that would fly. Even if they tried to pass a law doing that, it would get stopped in its tracks from being put into effect by lawsuits and pretty much every single district court in this country. Someone for doing something that was not a crime, it would open the door to potentially downgrading the discharge of any veteran who has ever been convicted of a crime. Something that we don't have in place now with very rare exceptions for officers. I think something like that would in this

again im moving away from retconning a dd214 and saying that since they cant, probably, do that to a dd214, they could go after benefits with reopening files and trying to link problems with trans procedures despite the date mismatch ups.

I see where you're going with that, and while they can reevaluate service disabilities, I feel like even for them that would be such a colossal waste of time and money to root out a handful of the veterans to Target that it still wouldn't be worth their time
