(1) We will prioritize sending astronauts to Mars and return to the moon along the way. Practical application of nuclear propulsion.
(2) Economic opportunities in low Earth orbit.
(3) NASA will be a force multiplier for science. Launch more telescopes/probes/rovers
Of course, even ignoring science budget cuts, unlikely to happen in the short term. It might be difficult for him to run NASA from orbit, especially as remote working is frowned upon... 😀
No but these are exactly the kinds of questions I have. Is he keeping an open mind or does he have an agenda he's going to pursue the second he's confirmed?
